SPTF Social Investor Working
Group Meeting 
Zurich, Switzerland

The 2017 SPTF Social Investor Working Group Meeting, which will be hosted by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the Swiss Capacity Building Facility (SCBF), and the University of Zürich Center for Microfinance, is open to all investors participating in the group. On March 16, following the meeting, SDC will host a half-day Savings and Credit Forum. Please register for the meeting.

The 2017 SPTF Investor Meeting

Registration for the 2017 SPTF Investor Meeting is now open! The meeting will be held in Zurich on March 15-16. The draft agenda and travel information are now available. Please contact Leticia Emme with any questions.

 

The SPTF Guidelines for Financial Service Providers Serving Refugees 

The final version of the guidelines for FSPs on financial inclsuion for refugees, written by SPTF consultant Lene Hansen, is now available. The SPTF thanks all of its members who provided their feedback on the draft version. 

Managing Social Performance: Toward a New “Business as Usual”

Katherine Knotts, an SPTF consultant, explains what’s ahead for the SPTF as social performance management evolves from “a new way of doing business” to “business as usual.”

Tom Shaw and Mohamed Attanda

The SPTF welcomes two new board members to its Board of Directors this month: Tom Shaw (Catholic Relief Services) (pictured) and Mohamed Attanda (Microfinance African Institutions Network - MAIN). Kashf Foundation wins the 7th European Microfinance Award 

This year's European Microfinance Award, which recognized excellence and innovation in microfinance and access to education, was awarded to Kashf Foundation. Its program involves loans for low-cost private schools, along with pedagogical training for teachers and specialised school management courses for school owners. The award was organized by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, the European Microfinance Platform, and the Inclusive Finance Network Luxembourg.
