SPTF Spotlight: Highlighted SPM Resources

Spotlight on Dimension 2 “Ensure Board, Management, and Employee Commitment to Social Goals”

The SPTF recently published the highlights of our third annual Universal Standards Implementation Survey. Results were very promising showing very high level of awareness and use of the Universal Standards.  When asked about which dimensions of the Universal Standards the users found challenging and wanted to prioritize in the near future, the majority of respondents indicated Dimension 2 “Ensure Board, Management, and Employee Commitment to Social Goals”.

One of the newest resources in the SPTF Resource Center speaks directly to this request. This video features AMK board members and leadership speaking about the institution's innovative approach to board management of SPM using a Social Performance Committee (SPC). They discuss the role of the SPC, the client information considered by the board, and the benefits of managing SPM through the SPC.
